CCA is welcoming back Jodie for the 2011-2012 school year. Her role
this school year is to teach the specials classes which include gym, art, and music. She originally began her career
with CCA in 2006 when the school first opened. She taught art, Spanish, and gym at that time.
After having her second child she stayed home with her children for four years.
Jodie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in social work and was placed in the advanced standing program where she earned
her Master’s degree. After graduating she worked with the Dorchester County Developmental Disabilities Administration
and moved into a position with the Delmarva Community Services Respite Care Program. In both of these positions Jodie ensured
that people with developmental disabilities received quality services to meet their own needs and the needs of their families.
For the past four years she has held a position of an athletic coach at North Dorchester High School. In addition, she
has also run a summer tennis camp for ages four through eighteen. Jodie also enjoys teaching Sunday School for the two-five
year old age group.
