Before/After School Teacher
Robin Lurz is a mother of five, grandmother of six and a great
grandmother of two. She has worked in the Early Childhood Education field for twenty-three years, teaching and caring for
children from birth through school age. Being involved with the lives of children, teaching, encouraging, caring and listening
has been and continues to be a rewarding experience for her. Robin has run her own successful Family Childcare for fifteen
years and has been a child advocate for as many years. Robin is gaining credits toward her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Robin has made Deans High Honors and Deans Highest Honors list. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She has completed Parent
as Teachers training from the National Parents as Teachers Organization and has received over fifty certificates for workshops,
seminars and conferences related to children’s growth and development. She has also presented workshops at Baltimore
County Community College on activities for children’s books. She has volunteered her time at her church for nursery
and in the Tiny Little Christian Preschool program. She volunteers at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop and the Judy Center here
in Cambridge. Robin is a substitute for Dorchester County Public Schools.
